greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

Would someone know which was the "official" Konica flash that was meant to accompany the T-3 ??

Thanks in advance,

the X-14 and X-20

Hi John, I checked the online Konica T3 manual up at The Photography Blue Book website and it talks about 2 flashes in the manual, the X-14 and X-20. It would be my best guess is these 2 are the "official" Konica flashes for the T3.

Flash

I don't think there ever was an "official" flash for the the T3. The early T3 didn't even have a hotshoe. The Konica X series flashes are dedicated to the electronic cameras (FC1, FP1, FS1, FT1)

Official Flash for T-3

Well, my T-3 certainly has a hot shoe, (and 2 sync sockets)

T3 Flash & Shoe

Hi all,

The early T3 used an accessory hot shoe that could be removed (unscrew the rubber ring at the viewfinder). Also offered was a "cold shoe". Later T3 had the hot shoe built in.

The T3 manual (see it on Mike LePard's website) shows the X14 & X20 flashes as accessory items, plus a flash cube adapter! I don't think this means these were the "official" flashes for this camera, weren't "dedicated" or anything... perfectly usable on other Konica's and other cameras. However, these were the Konica flashes offered during the T3 era. So in that sense, I guess they would be "correct".
