You limit the time of the contest 5-20 min, preventing heart attacks and over exertion. We use wedges driven by cylinders or screws to split logs, precut into sections of about 24-36 inches long. The logs are placed on their sides on a flat stable surface, usually an I- beam, and the wedge is driven into the end. Repeat the above until you have the size of stove wood you want.
