Hello all,

I'm trying to find the term of office for Jonathon T. Reid, Treasurer of the ACL in Wilmington, NC, at some point during the twenties and thirties. Specifically, I'm trying to find the dates when both Reid and William C. Yarborough, Assistant Treasurer, both held office. Can anyone help me with this?

You may wish to consult the corporate 'Annual Reports' of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, 'The Official Guide' to North American railroads, and Poor's 'Manual of Railroads.' The first two sources were published annually; the third, monthly. (Certain members of the Society likely have complete collections of all three; large public & academic libraries usually maintain Poor's). The office of Treasurer was a senior executive position. By combing through back issues of all three, the appointment of Mr. Reid was likely noted. Then, you could advance forward to when he left office. Good luck!
