Worm trap for catching up bait worms from the bins [ Vermiculture (Worms)]

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

An easy "worm trap" is to put a few eggshells in your bins in halfs , not pulverized. I came across this by accident after I had my son add some shells to one of the bins and he just put them in instead of grinding them first. When I removed them a week later, each eggshell half contained about 2 ounces of worms, just about right for a $2 bait cup. If you bury the shells with just a little sticking up, you can harvest bait without disturbing the rest of the bin.
