Like you, there was a time when it would have mattered to me very much if all "this"--the history of my life--were to vanish. There's something about death which teaches you that stuff like "this" really isn't important and that the memories go on in your head and can be recalled at will.

So nothing of that sort that I've lost is important enough to me to agonize over wanting it back. The things I've lost that I want back are the people I love who are no longer around for me to hug and tell them how much I love them.

That's the real stuff that's important. The rest of this is all just fluff.
