I was wondering what the catholic views were on the human genome project. Do they think it's ok? Is it playing God? Thank you for your time.

Hi, Candy.
Just doing the research was a morally neutral action -- not good, not bad, not playing God. What matters, though, is the activity that will flow from the knowledge now gathered. That could be good (such as healing) or bad (engineering that resembles playing God).
