There is an Alice Griffith who was a member of the Housing Authority of San Francisco (1938-1943). The minutes of the San Francisco Civic Unity Committee (deposited in the SF Public Library) has a short summary of her tenure with the housing authority including her take on the ousting of Albert Evers.

Alice Griffith was my great, great aunt. I, too would like to know more. Perhaps you could share what you learned. I have a couple of cook books she produced to raise money for her projects. I also have access to living relatives, who hopefully will tell me more.
