What's your favorite time in sports?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Nutshell : One Thread |
It's Final Four weekend in NCAA basketball, with the championship games being played tonight and tomorrow night, for the women and the men, respectively. Major league baseball play begins this afternoon and reaches full flower tomorrow. The NHL playoffs are just around the corner. It's a grand time of the year for a sports fan, but what's your favorite time?

Yesterday's local tallies were nice:
- Mike Hampton pitched a 8-1/3-inning shutout in his debut for the Rockies
- The Avalanche clinched the President's Trophy and home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
Also ... Duke. Yeah, Duke.

Aww, that's so cute, Miriam! Poor Nomar. Poor Sox. Well, at least they have Pedro, but one man does not a pitching rotation make, right?
Yankees suck. Yankees suck. Th-uhhhhhhhhhhh Yankees suck.

It's got to be the Red Sox defeating the Yankees (a.k.a. The Source of All Evil in the Universe) at Fenway. Alas, more often than not they find some strange and bizarre way to blow enormous leads and allow evil to triumph. I've put a little bandaid on the wrist of my Nomar Garciaparra action figure for luck :)
