responce to "just a new look on things"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

ok, I made a new post,, just so everyone can see it. It took awhile,, but the week minded ones have to come in,, and say "they feel sorry for me", and such, for my views on the word. Please dont,,look in the mirror and feel sorry for that person,, obviously,, that person need a life. Help him/her get one. None asked you to agree with me, ,or that earlier post,, and if your happy with the world, ,them, good for you,, I see the same people,, "bashing" others for stateing their opiions, yet they dont mind, ramming their beliefs down anyones throat.

Stan- I avoided responding to your previous pointless posts and probably should resist the urge here too, but this is getting old in a hurry. There seems to be no point to your posts other than to stir up controversy among the regular readers and responders here. When I found this board late last year, I read the archives thoroughly before posting anything to make sure it had not already been covered. What I found was a very diverse, but usually civil group of people that shared a "self-sufficiency" mindset. I don't recall seeing your name in the old posts, and I could be wrong but I think you have only begun posting fairly recently. This post and your "political announcement" post really serve no purpose but to reopen recent wounds. Otherwise why wouldn't you simply post a new message within the original "new look" thread. I re-read it before writing this and found other responses from today, so there is really no excuse for this new post. Please try to show a little restraint- the archives are big enough as it is thanks to useful posts! Jack

You're the one doing all the bashing and ramming, you Bad American you.

Jack,

Probably to get people to stop e-mailing him with their "sympathy". Narrow mindedness is a terrible thing...sorry you are infected with it. What's wrong with stating opinions? Thought that was part of a forum, or is it okay only as long as YOU agree?

Nothing's wrong with stating opinions, but some folks (myself included) think maybe all Stan wants to do is to stir up trouble. Does he have the right to do it? Absolutely. Do we have the right to politely ask him to think about what he's doing? Absolutely.

did I do this to cause trouble?? NOPE,, but if it IS causeing trouble with some,, then those few need to rethink themselves.

Oh, Stan, give it a rest, for crying out loud.

Sounds to me like someone is trolling for trouble. Why else would he start another thread? The hub-bub died down in the last one and he feels it needs to be stirred up again. Best thing to do is not to feed the troll.

It amazes me,, how seemingly sane and intelligent people,, open their mouth,, and prove me wrong. For those that think I w as "bashing" their grandparrents or ancestors,, you need to go and READ the post, it said, AMERICAN CITIZENS , and it goes on ,, if you run a business, and expect me to go there, you should be able to speak english.

-- stan (sopal@net-port.com), April 04, 2001.

Stan, although 32% of the time I halfway agree with 25% of what you say, it is statements like the following that makes me wonder who needs to learn to speak English:

"It amazes me,, how seemingly sane and intelligent people,, open their mouth,, and prove me wrong."

Now, is that what you really meant to say? ;-)))

This forum is a hoot sometimes. Chill out people!! Enjoy life! Its springtime!!
