Effect of Photo Oils and standard oil paints on Fiber Prints

Curious to if anyone knows what is the best way to go with hand coloring black and white prints?

I have been doing this for years. If your asking about the longeveity, oils are stable and become part of the paper. If you are referring to the archivalness of the paper after you put oils on... purists will argue this till they die but fiber is the only good medium for hand coloring. I use a combination of oils and pencils and have never had a return. You must make sure your photos are absolutely washed properly though and don't use a hardening fixer! www.handcolor.com is a good site to learn more.
