Teacher Magazines

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Everything About Teaching and Learning the Piano : One Thread

I'm sure this was addressed on the last message board, but now that I've been teaching for a few months I'd like to get subscribed to a few teacher magazines so that I'm up to date on the latest stuff. Can anyone suggest magazines for piano teachers that I should subscribe to?

Keyboard Companion -- probably the best magazine for teachers of Elementary-Intermediate students. (maybe the only??? Other teachers -- please share others!)

Clavier -- About pianists, teaching, performing; more general.

Piano & Keyboard -- if you are into technology.

I recommend investing in some of the "Proceedings & Reference" from the National Conference on Piano Pedagogy....expensive, but a wealth of info.

Favorite books of mine are:

Questions & Answers by Frances Clark

The Well-Tempered Keyboard Teacher by Uszler, Gordon, Smith

Creative Piano Teaching by Lyke, Enoch, & Haydon

Search for Keyborad Companion's website and invest in back issues...they are well worth it! If you're mainly teaching beginners, this is a magazine you will want to collect and digest.

Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like more suggestions of helpful books for various aspects and levels; I spent a ridiculous amount of money on these when I first started!
