In the archives many of you mentioned running your catchement water through a "sand filter". How do you put one together? Thanks. Enjoy your life.

I have used a cooler with a drain spigot in it as a sand filter. Fill the cooler with sand, then run the water in the top, catch it at the drain.

Jay-how do you keep the sand from 'leaking' out the drain with the water? Some sort of screen, perhaps?
