Here is a post from the Drudge Report listing evidence that the Hoof and Mouth disease outbreak in the UK has government roots. Whether it is accidental or on purpose, I don't know. Note that at the bottom of there article there is a link to a possible preventative.

Great post. This is exactly what makes me sooo *nervous* about PETA saying aloud that they think it would be a good thing for this to come here--they are just the type of people that could and would make it so.

It is really interesting. I can't quite understand the PETA et al attitudes towards loving animals to death, yet I wouldn't put it past them.

Just for fun, I heard another one...seems some people want to blame China for everything, but anyway, I heard that this is rife in Asia, which appears to be true, and that China has denied having it, and shipped some meat to an English restaurant (long way for meat to go, huh?) and they supposedly KNEW this was infected. Now this sounds goofy to me, but I thought the mindset was interesting.

Here is a link for a UK paper that has *tons* of stories on this. Evidently it just jumped forty miles to a previously uninfected area.

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be one little bit surprised if the spread is being caused by folks who want to see it keep going. Its just a shame, but some folks here have seen this mentality in action.

I would like to urge you to read the FMD post back at Countryside, even if you don't want to post there anymore. It is very interesting, and as I said there, Vicki was kind enough to talk to me about the very subject at length. I learned a lot from her about it all.

What my take on it is: all these new stories and theories are coming out well after the fact. It is very simple to stifle the truth when leaking conflicting reports to an already agitated public. What is being hidden??? The real truth is out there somewhere, and yes, there is 'something rotten in Denmark' - but who has the truth?

My question - who do you believe? Reuters? CNN? Associated Press? the government? (I guess I just wish that there were one place to go... never happen, but I wish it would)

Hi, all. On www.rumormillnews.net - the forum - is today's article saying what I heard also on mainstream tv this am - foot & mouth IS coming here to the US. Nope, no surprise there ! What is happening in the UK is so insane to me. Seems like pouring more and more disinfectants into the ground will only polute their water ? My vet Merck manual says voles can carry the foot and mouth. Is that the ace in the hole ??? "They" will find it there in rodents...and then what ? I dunno. Brace yourself and find out now what the vets HERE will do in case an "outbreak" occurs. What worries me more....is why did all those service men had to have anthrax shots ? It seems to be the population reduction agenda. I used to not believe in such a conspiracy - but, just following the daily news has proved otherwise. Yes, it is wonderful to have survival skills. We are gonna need all we have been learning....IMO. Don't be too hard on Countryside. If they promote the political agendas...the govt will harrass them no end. Doreen, thanks for letting me put in my 2 cents. I fear we have been duped and that the US is NOT a country-but, a colony of the UK. We need no govt is my feeling ! Barter sounds fine to me !
