German Wirehair Pointers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Rescued a mother-daughter pair of dogs today, found in horrible condition at a campground. Mama dog looks like something tried to chew her face off...daughter is skin and bones. Both have mange, assorted parasites (pray for no heartworm!), and have been skunked. Could not identify the breed til we looked it up in the book...these are purebred German Wirehair Pointers. Just like the shorthairs, but scruffy. Quality bird dogs, I'm told. My guess is that they got lost while hunting. Anyway, there's not much demand for the hunting breeds as pets. So I'll offer this PAIR (want them to stay together) for adoption to a hunter or trials person. I am near Kalamazoo, Michigan. Contact me directly for details. Thanks!

If you still have the pair, I would gladly take them! We have a male German Wirehaired Pointer puppy (4 months old) and they do make excellent pets for families as well as hunters.

If you still have them, please call me at (920) 295-8956. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Jill Wendlandt
