Falcon Cam

There is a pair of peregrine falcons nesting on top of one of the buildings in downtown Indianapolis. The local newspaper has set up a webcam in the nest box so we can watch the progress. The picture refreshes every 30 seconds.

The lighting isn't that great, so it's kind of hard to make things out sometimes. I thought that I saw babies in the nest this morning but now I'm not so sure.

Wow - just when you get your eyes focused, the picture changes!! Do believe there is at least one little head in there, though -

I am always excited by babies - especially Peregrines!!! Aren't they the neatest birds (apart from when they are stealing our chickens, though!!)

Sherri C.,

How thoughtful of you to share that with us other nature lovers. It's funny how some can see a menace, and others can see a miracle.

Two of the four eggs hatched over the weekend. I haven't seen the babies yet. The website got rid of that annoying auto-refresh feature so now it's easier to look at.

Wow! I just saw the babies! And Mom (or maybe Dad) brought breakfast. What a priviledge to watch this. Thank you, Sherri.

Trying to make a clickable link (usually do it right, but occasionally screw them up) . . ..

Falcon Cam

If that doesn't work, I give up!
