I'm glad for all the "blabbers" on the forum. My biggest worry when I started it was that I wouldn't find anyone interested in participating. I'm glad that's turning out to not be the case...

Jorja and trendle: I'm starting to feel somewhat better but still not up to normal speed yet. I was telling Sheepish in an email that my wife brought a laptop home from her office for me to use so I'm writing this as I lounge on the couch. I wish I could talk her into leaving the laptop at home on a more permanent basis but I don't think I'd be successful in doing that. ;-)

And I have to say that my wife has sure been a real gem during all this. I guess it's true love when your spouse is willing to help you empty your catheter bag at three in the morning. Her support through all this really shows me how lucky I am to have her in my life. It brings a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat just writing about it...

As for what I had done: It was a procedure to open a urethral stricture - something I've had to deal with in the past. The doctor thinks that I'll probably have to have it "treated" on a regular basis now - although I have yet to know what *regular basis* will be. He's thinking that I'll be able to have future procedures in his office instead of outpatient surgery which will be a big relief.

I'll also have to avoid things like antihistamines from now on which can aggravate this problem. Looks like I'll have to start on allergy shots again but that's ok, at least there are alternatives.

Thanks for inquiring. :-)

Diane,

I have the opposite problem, I meant to involve myself more! I guess I think of myself as too opinionated, so I try to curb my typing urge!

Ah, Jim, so glad we get to keep you around for a while longer.

...and now I'm at 10! ;-)
