A.M.E. Today May Go Dark

It appears A.M.E. Today may be off line for a short period of time.

The company where the site is hosted is going out of business because it was illegally entered by a hacker who made off with credit card information as well as other sensitive data.

I still do not know if my personal credit card has been affected!!!

The company supposedly is shutting down operations with short notice so A.M.E. Today may disappear for a day or two until I find a proper new location for it.

A.M.E. Today will return! And I pray it will not take long but I did not want you to be surprised when/and or if it disappeared. This will be a very short term situation at worse..

Pray for the minister and the ministry as we go through yet another time of trial and tribulation.

If the site goes down, so will the A.M.E. Today mail for a short period of time. It too will be back to normality in what I hope to be a short, efficient amount of time.

The discussion board where this appears will not be affected. It is run under a different host so life in discussion land will go on as normal...however, you may want to bookmark the discussion site since the doorway from A.M.E. Today might be missing!

If A.M.E. Today goes down, any communication can be made to Rev. John at  jfisher@voicenet.com.  This only is in the event of an A.M.E. Today blackout.

I hope this transition will be seamless and A.M.E. Today never will turn up missing but this note is just in case of a worse case scenario.

Now let me take a minute to wish each and everyone of you a Blessed Easter and may the Glory of the Lord shine upon you during this most Holy of times.

Rev. John(jfisher@ame-today.com) A.M.E. Today (http://www.ame-today.com)

PS I thank all of you for your prayers for my wife, Sister Jan. She is rapidly recovering and wants to thank all of you for the uplift you provide around the world for her during her time of sickness. The road to recovery is a long one but it is also a smooth one when it is paved with prayers. Thank you so much for your prayers!!!

Rev. Fisher thank you for all that you do for the AME denomination. As Paul the apostle says, they will know us by our love. And my initial introduction to the AME church has been through you and your online ministry. It is very isolating here in Montana, we have 8 months of winter, but everyday I can get up and feel connected to the world. I have wonderful friends that I have met on this board. I know God will make a way out of no way, for that is one of the lessons of the resurrection. God can and God will!! The AME light has burned bright for so many years, God will continue protecting you. I will keep you and your church and beautiful sister Jan in prayer. Know your AME family around the world loves you!

Rev. Fisher, Having been in this business a long time, I use www.aitcom.net. They were founded by a bunch of retired Army people and still hire a lot of military folk, stressing reliability and discipline. Blessings Pastor Paris

Rev Fisher

Thank you for alerting us about the situation we are heading for. Some of us here in the 15th Episcopal District, Namibia Annula Conference has become addicted to AME today. Nonetheless we will continue to pray for you and your good office so that you will pass smoothly over this hurdle too.

We are happy to hear that your wife has recovered and just thank the Lord for his wonderful and miraculous intervention.

Yours in the Masters service

Rev. A. Eberhardt Biwa Senior Pastor

Dear Rev. Fisher,

I will certainly miss this site but I have a feeling that God is going to find another way to keep this site going. I find this site very inspirational. It is also one of the few christian sites where people are civil to one another despite their disagreements. My fraternity has an intranet site which is a bit more secure to hacker attacks and it is sponsored by this company called intranet.com. However, if you were to sponsor an intranet site, it would only be open to members of the AME church. Thanks for creating such a wonderful site and I am sure we will be seeing you again.
