Predator Cure

Just read something interesting that I thought I'd pass on. A fella put out some Golden Malrin and poured grape pop over it. He's killed 27 'coons. Another person tried it last night and woke up to 2 dead 'coons and a dead 'possum.

What the heck is is Golden Malrin? I know what grape pop is, of course. I would love to get rid of our racoon problem. Kathie

Another perspon wondering what Golden Marlin is? Does it only work on raccons and possums? Or will it work on starlings? Mary

Please do post again and let us know what "Golden Malrin" is and where someone in the SE (Kentucky) might find it. I need something to kill opossums ...

Had my first horse with EPM last winter ... since I'm originally from Montana had never dealt with this before and would much prefer not to have to do it again. However, the vet tells me that as many as 80% or 90% of the horses in Kentucky will test positive for titers on a blood test ... indicating that they have been exposed, so even if they don't get it (something like 1% supposedly actually get the disease, or so I've read) it is still almost impossible to avoid.

Our grain is kept covered at all times but they are out on pasture and of course the grass and/or hay can get contaminated.

Golden Malrin is used for fly control; see :

I suspect there are better ways...

Well, it would help if I spelled it correctly! -LOL- Golden Maldrin is a pesticide found in feed/hardware stores. Some folks hang small containers of it to kill flies.

If you use the recipe, put up the pets so they don't get into it and dispose of the bodies before leaving the pets out in the area.

It will also work on: dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, horses, robins, goats, sheep, CHILDREN.....

Be very sure to use it in a bait specific to what you are trying to kill, or you could kill the whole farm.

How many spoonfuls of Golden Maldrin would you use in a Grape Soda. Have already lost a mare to EPM.Would like to eliminate the coon and Oposum. Thanks
