Some Chairmen are reluctant to spend on new players until the transfer fiasco is sorted.

Perhaps not the case doon at OT??

A British record. Only to be eclipsed when Rivaldo comes north to SJP. Allegedly ;-)

I reckon he'll be available on the cheap in 2 years time when SAF's replacement is struggling with relegation ;-)

So, who's on their way out then? Sheringham, or could it be Yorke?
The latter would be a canny signing for us!

Yorke for definite. Sheringham may get a 1yr extension. I'd tale either - or both ;-)

Damn - premature again :-(

Hmmm....Yorke and Dyer in the same team? I can see the gossip columnists filling the Tyne with drool now.

Course if they're as prolific on the football pitch, I wouldn't be too concerned about the rest. ;-))

Yorke is going stale at the minute, how much would you pay for him. IF they get over £12m for Yorke, RVN doesn't seem too wxpensive & the write off if the transfer fees are stopped will not seem sa bad.

This certainly pisses on Freddie Shepherd's argument about waiting till the transfer system is sorted. Manure have never been that lavish with their transfer fess and as a PLC they must have weighed up this move.

If, as expected, Dwight Yorke is sold to partly finance this deal for RVN, it raises the spectre of Cole and RVN playing together.

I haven't seen that much of RVN, but when I have he has looked like an old-fashioned centre forward. I'd be rather surprised if he and Cole would form a good partnership, and would have thought Yorke and RVN would make a better forward pairing. Interesting.

Well, they do have rather a lot of money to spend haven't they.

Shame for Ruud, but I hope he knacks himself.
