CAN I STILL BE REPOSSESSED IF I PAID AREARS BEFORE COURT DATE?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

Hi there,

Canyone please tell me of their past experiences or only if they are sure of their answer.

I have been set a court date for repossession of the property due to arrears. But, i will have it paid before the court date which is in 2 months time. WIll i still have to attend court even if i pay the arrears in full. Also, will the lender be able to repossess, or how will it work?

Thanks

If you pay the arrears and costs before the hearing date, the lender will have to withdraw - no order for possession can be made if there are no arears to make it over.

Even if the property were repossessed you have an'equity of redemption' until the property is disposed of
