Adolph Gilbert Sutro, grandson of Adolph H. Sutro, was born in 1891, and broke three world records on his homemade hydroplane in 1913, flying around San Francisco Bay. After this, he apparently made a career in real estate, moved to Madeira and died there. Does anyone have more details on him? Is he buried in Funchal?

Answers

I have old vehicle and insurance documents regarding the sale of a Harley Davidson motorcycle by A.G. Sutro to another individual. Apparently, grandson Gilbert had a vehicle dealership in the 1920's.

We have tried to locate the whereabouts of A.G. Sutro, as I work for Sutro & Co (brokerage firm). But we have been unsuccessful.
