Vivitar 5600 flash and Nikon 6006

I have a Vivitar 5600 Auto Thyristor Flash Unit that I've been using with my Nikon FM camera. The Vivitar flash has a selection switch that has EM and FG (Nikon) choices. I also own a Nikon 6006 camera. My question is whether this flash unit is compatible with my 6006 camera body. I would like to avoid having two flash units, if possible. Thanks

I use a vivitar 5200 in TTL mode with a FE-2. It must be set to FG to work properly (TTL). I would say it's the same for the 6006. Of course, be careful when using the BIG 5600 on the CHEEZEY LITTLE hotshoe of the 6006. All of the flash's functions will probably work but all of the camera's flash functions may not.
