You too, friend!

I actually have my entire lawn mowed all at once which is a minor miracle! I'm getting into the rabbit raising brigade, and I am SOO excited about the bunnies. I got some cages from a lady and then she called me to sell me the rabbits she had. They are all pedigreed Californians, although only the previous owner seems to know where the papers are, and I am also picking up bunnies from Mary tomorrow! Lotsa fertilizer in my future!

We could actually use some rain here. I hope we get some, because it usually means drought when the faucet just suddenly shuts off. So I am praying for just a miserably hot summer, with the occasional bager of a thunderstorm. If you feel led to, please pray for that for us Texans, too. We really can't take another year of drought too easily. God bless!

Hey All, I'm finally getting a day off to relax! Barely had time to turn the computer on this week. The alarm goes off at 4am, I'm out the door to deliver 150 newspapers at 4:30, back home at 6:30, just enuf time for a shower and breakfast, and I'm off to my "real" job at the healthfood store. I get home a little after 5pm, take care of the dogs and cats, feed myself, by then it's time for bed!!

Well, now that I'm a landowner (MO, moving next spring!!), I have some days that I HATE my life here in NY. I honestly don't know how I'm gonna get through the next 12 months. If I continue at the crazy pace I'm keeping now, I'll be debt-free and 10 grand in hand this time next year. I know it will all be worth it in the long run, and I have plenty to do concerning "the big move", but man oh man, do I feel like packing the truck and leaving today!! Maybe I oughta grab a shovel and play in the garden, get myself grounded.....:)

Forgot to say that I've already been at this crazy pace for a year!! Does that tell you how badly I want to homestead!!

Oh yes, Cathy. I know the story very, very well. I worked 18 months 18 hour days for the most part, 7 days a week... a light day was 15 hours, and did nothing but eat beans and mac and cheese. Guess what? It all was worth it! You'll do just fine, but don't forget to take your vitamins.lol

Tear'em up Cathy!Good for you that you have a goal and are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My wife and I have our farm but we are also saddled with big bills.I could have started with raw land and built from there but my wife to be was not into living in a yurt.(didn't know what it was)From experience I can say that debt free is the way to start. Thanks for the blessing Cindy.
