I have some 1994-96 vintage decoders with no manufactures data on them. They have 10 leads so assume they are full function units. They are encased in white shrink wrap and have the numbers 2395 hand written on the shrink wrap in black ink. I'd like to know if these are Lenz, System One or ??? so I can get programming info. Thank you.

Answers

If you have the capability to read CVs from decoder, e.g. Digitrax Chief, System One or NCE with Easy Ramp software or a PR1 or ????, then read back CV 8 which contains the maufacturers id. The NMRA standards doc will list all the manufacturers ids.
