Power Back On In Fairlane Mall Area Cable Line Damage Knocks Out Power

DEARBORN, Mich., 3:37 p.m. EDT April 27, 2001-- Power has been restored to about 400 residents living near Fairlane Town Center, according to Detroit Edison. An underground power failure left the area without power for most of the day on Friday.

Fairlane Town Center's emergency lighting service kicked in, but the Hudson's store was without power for a short time.

A cable line was damaged by a construction crew and another malfunctioned on Friday, according to Detroit Edison
