I've been reading a book about Luther Burbank, the great plant breeder. The book is 'Luther Burbank, his life and work'. We've also been reading Lord of the Rings, by Tolkein, aloud. But the Burbank books are what really inspire me- that one person could accomplish so much good in his life, breeding thousands of new varieties, some of which have literally changed the world.

I'm reading on several of the Foxfire books, actually re-reading them. Also several of the old farm books that I have.

Currently...I just started a Tom Clancy novel. Not too thrilled with it right now, though. Continuing studying Tax laws, the Bible...also reading the South Was Right, and a straw bale building how to book. Of all of them, I would reccommend the Bible, and the Straw Bale book!

Hey Kristin! Nice to have you here. Are you familiar with Howard Garret? He has some excellent books on organic gardening in texas including all regions, so it covers the wetter aspects like you have in Louisianna. Check him out if you haven't already.
