Missing people...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Not-So : One Thread

How do you deal with losing friends? And I don't mean really losing them - either by them dying or because you forgot where you put them. I mean in the much less definate they-moved-away-and-I-don't-know-if-I'll-ever-see-them-again kind of way.

It's never easy. Some you lose touch with. But if you really try, you can usually keep in contact and try to meet up again. There's always hope.

Cloning is always an option. Of course it's really expensive and not really perfected... oh well. How about kidnapping then?

I cry and eat ice cream and sulk and buy clothes till I feel better. Also, what happened with your "people" page? Do I even want to know? Ack. Impressed with the update, btw. :)

Well, if they stab you in the back at the worst time in your life, it's pretty easy to get over them being out of your life. Hell, you even enjoy it.

E-mail a lot. I've moved away from friends so many times in the past year, you get used to it and learn how to keep in touch. The good ones stay with you. Of course there's always the option of taking them with you to NJ for the summer...
