A letter from Joe Six Pack

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread

Please, I just want to leave my head buried in the sand.
I'm a gonna go to the fridge and get another beer, would you like one.
I'm a little blue about loosing my job since I've been resized, right-sized, and now down-sized. You know my pants are a little tight, this must be what they're talking about.
My shoes are made in China and so is just about everything else I buy. Maybe I should move there and get a job since they make everything I buy. Nah, I'd have to learn another langugage and eat food with sticks. I wonder if I can learn how to make Egg Foo Young, oh what am I saying I don't own any pots - It's golden arches for me.
Y2K was just a hiccup, it is normal for refineries to go boom, and the power to be out every day during the summer. Trains to crash and dot.coms to go.bankrupt . Food prices to double and so does Gasoline for my Dualie Pickup Truck. They said my Kids can't get their vacinations either, nope nothing wrong with that there.
Please enough of this doomer stuff, there is nothing wrong. Y2k was just a farce, cause my wrist watch still keeps time, and my VCR is still showing this:

See There's nothing wrong at all.

Oh honey I'm a little cold, would you please cover me up so I can sleep some more.
And thus Joe Sixpack rolls over and goes back to sleep.

These problems have not been as pervasive as you make them out to be.

Nope, my VCR is just fine and so there's couldn't be a thing wrong with dehm 'puters.

Taz, Come on over we's got plenty of room under this rock, just bring some more Beer and some chocolate Bryers ice cream for the Mrses, cause the fridge is almost empty and the power just went off! And while you're at it brings along a genny, I returns mine 01-03-00, we can run the TeeVee and the Fridge.

We's == ~99.7% of the populace.

While this maybe close and we gets no cigars. Just think of how Monica felt when she heard that some of Billy's ex's didn't either. Was she happy to get a smoke or was she fuming because he didn't inhale ????
