Weathering is the process of which particles fall from suspension or is being precipitated to form layers of sediments. As the sediments are buried they are compacted and cemented this process creates lithification. Eroision in rocks occur when hot materials in the earth generates as uplift which in turn promotes erosion and the rockcycle becomes driven by radioactive heat. (Source askjeeves.com)
