DPPi information service has an information sheet listing useful organisations, references and articles relevant to workers/allies of parents with learning difficulties. The DPPi journal also has many articles on parenting with a learning difficulty. Contact DPPi on Tel: 0800 018 4730, or write to the address listed in Disabled Parent's Network website.

you could try looking at research by Tim and Wendy Booth and also Sue Macgraw. they have published several articles on the topic and there is a good book called "parenting under pressure" by Booth and Booth.
