I bloody well knew it would happen, the scousers scrappily win a couple of cups (one on pens, the other with an un-noticed handball)and the media goes mad with Back to the Glory Days crap, TV documentaries and every town in the country gets infested with smug bastards with Carlsberg emblazoned across their chests who have never been near Liverpool.

I pray to God that they get well beat on Wednesday night and don't get into the CL. I won't be able to stand a summer of endless Luvable Liverpool interviews with Keegan, Tosh, Hansen, etc etc blah blah blah. The Liverpool bias on the BBC is truly frightening and completely undemocratic. I for one am not pleased to see "a club with great tradition back where it belongs". They've had their fun in the 70s and 80s, now they should have drift away into the lower divisions.

Luck can only take you so far. They've learned nothing from the experience. They'll be just as useless next season but won't find anyone prepared to let them play on the break (except us of course).

Forget the trophies. They made really hard work of Wycombe Wanderers and took some iffy decisions to get through and Saturday was all Arsenal. Henry and Owen's respective finishing decided the match. Not the sort of success you build on. Unless they learn to dictate the flow of a game instead of all standing on the goal-line it'll be "Where did it all go wrong?" again next season.
