POOR HATCHING OF EGGS

WHY DIDN'T THE EGG HATCH? AFTER 23 DAYS IN THE INCUBATOR- I HAVE HAD SEVERAL RINGNECK PHEASANT IN THE EGG THAT I COULD HEAR "PECKING" AND "CHIRPING" IN THE EVENING AND THE NEXT DAY CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING- WHEN I CRACK THE EGG THERE IS A FULLY DEVELOPED DEAD CHICK INSIDE (THE EGG SAC HAD BEEN SUCKED IN AND HE HAD SEPERATED FROM THE EGG ALREADY)- WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Did the eggs get turned daily? I Would turn them twice a day, and mist them with warm water - lightly. Also, kept water in the bottom of the incubators

Not enough humidity in the incubator made the shells too tough, peeps couldn't get out, can be a common problem, add more water to the bottom of the incubator a few days earlier next time, and try the misting, lightly.

keep an eye on the temperature - remember, as the chicks grow, the heat will differ - you may have to adjust it
