On the board nonsense

greenspun.com : LUSENET : FRL friends : One Thread

I'm so sorry I've lapsed in my (self-imposed) duty this week. I've been off the internet, too weak to shove my kids away from the keyboard. However, I'm well again now, so I'm back to doing my best to get us back onto the Lusenet board.

.

Did you know that if you cut yourself deeply enough, there's no pain?

I found that out when I was in my early teens and had a water fight with some friends (girls against guys). I ran around the end of the building, carefully holding my bucket so as not to spill the water out of it, and almost smacked into Morgan. We each dumped our water and ran in opposite directions to go get refills. As I ran, I thought it was odd that he'd used warm water... When I got back into the washroom to get more water, I discovered that I had blood all over me, so I ran back to check on Morgan, sure that he must be nearly bleeding to death to get that much blood on me; but he was nowhere in sight. So I went back to the washroom to wash the blood off of me. There, the more I washed, the more blood there seemed to be. I finally found the gash where it was coming from, on my finger. The cut was just about to the bone, but I couldn't feel it at all. Paper cuts, on the other hand.. I feel them for days!

Dear and Loyal One: Glad to see you are feeling like yourself again and have returned to us. I saw your 'hint' on the other thread and will get going with something soon.

Hey Trish, just thought I'd mention......if you ever do whack anything off,.....well, I'm always in the market for spare parts, ya know.

Thanks for your kind thoughts... and even more thanks for your (implied) promise of more story! More story, ahhhhh, bliss! :-)
