Need help!!! - Crucifix

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Ok...I am desperately searching for two things: Catholic materials (books, prayercards/books, etc) in Spanish. And a particular crucifix. Has anyone ever seen a crucifix on a rosary with Christ's arms straight up? Like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1148400090

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Jackiea.
Some of the visible symbols of a bishop's rank are usually the miter (pointed headgear), the pectoral cross, and the crozier (the shepherd's crook).
Pope John Paul II chose not to carry a crozier, but instead a stylized crucifix, which has come to be called a "papal crucifix," on which the body of Jesus hangs with hands nearly overhead.
Many variations of the "papal crucifix" are available from religious goods stores and online outlets. Here are the URLs to see just a few. If you don't like any of these, you can do a search on "papal crucifix" at www.yahoo.com to get a list of links.
