Did anyone ever done business (or saw the work he done for someone else?) with that guy in Japan for a refinish paint job? If so, was the finish similar to an original black paint? Also, since Leica is making paint bodies and lenses, do you think/or know if they would agree to replace beat up camera parts in black paint finish (If the parts come from a camera with matching serial number of black paint lot)

They used to do that sort of work. They would even convert from one finish to the other using original parts (yes I have heard of a black paint MP camera, among others, being converted to chrome). I do not believe they do that now but you could check with your distributor. The chap in Japan:http://www.leica-camera.com/produkte/msystem/m6ttl/sucher/be ispiel/index.html
comes highly recommended by people that I trust on the Leica-user's list.
