I have a Walthers 100-ton cement covered hopper in HO scale which was originally lettered as CSXT 224997. I stripped the car a couple of years ago when I decided to backdate my layout, and I understand it represents a Family Lines prototype from about 1980, SCL as I recall, or possibly L&N. Can anyone shed any light on which road originally owned these, which number series they carried, or provide a photo for paint and decaling reference? Thanks.

Answers

The car 224997 is in the series 224940-225139 which was the SCL series 203500-203699. I'm checking with another sourse to see if there was an earlier ownership. Ron D.
