It has rained for 23 of the past 30 days. And we're not talking a shower and then sun. No. Full on thunderstorms and overcast every day. They're talking about ways to fight off SAD. In JUNE. This is not right.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

I had a fine night last night. This morning, however, has sucked. Tech woes abound.

Oh, well. At least it's Wednesday.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

We've had some rain, but not too much. As long as it's clear for my flights this weekend.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Where are you going? I thoguth Maggie's wedding was the 16th or so?

Ooooh, Mass?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Yep. Mass. and Connecticut. I'm flying into CT, and Chris and his dad are going to pick me up (his dad is driving up from DC to go with us to see Bobshi). Then we'll head to the retirement home, and after that, we'll have dinner with the other Anulewicz's who live up there. Then we drive to Mass.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Is Chris going before you or something?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Leigha might want to learn the art of the notify. Her email was GO READY MY JOURNAL.

Oh, Flaya - you slaya.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Chris went up there last night - he's in PA/NJ deposing dudes who cut their fingers off with saws.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Y'all. Schlitterbaun? I bet Flaya is the kind of girl that pronounces New Braunfels "New Braunsfels." Drives me crazy.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Y'all - I know Meg has ot have another journal out there somewhere. She said that she'd done that before - moved to a new name and space because of "something."

Must find her.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Hmmm. Interesting. Now I'm intrigued.

Does Drew from pamie's forum have a home page? I'm sure that he'd link to her new site if she had one.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

My God... this is the worst day ever. I JUST got to the office.

There was a wreck on 30 and I sat in traffic for more than an HOUR.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Oh, that sucks.

I've done google searches for every incarnation of Meg - mekkers, meghanm, mekada, meghlcl - nothing since the plagairism, though. I know from her wish list that her name is Meghan Antolik, and she lives in Aurora, but I can't find anything recent about her. She's been updating the ferrets page, though. If I was an OLJ profiler, though, I would theorize that Meg's the kind of girl who won't stay out of the public forum for too long.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

I agree. I'm curious, though, as to how she'll do it. I don't think she'll do it under her real name, because that's still stained by scandal. On the other hand, she sure isn't the type to do things anonymously. Is there some sort of happy medium between the two extremes?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

That's the thing - I can't see Meg doing something and then not taking credit for it under her own name.

Do y'all find it odd that in all her talk about owning her own web design business, she never pointed anyone to a site that showcased her professional work?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Oh, for christ's sake:

There probably wasn't a business.

Remembering Our Fuzzies

In memory of Kassandra and all other fuzzies that have crossed over the Rainbow

I remember the day I brought you home, You were so cute and sweet, and free to roam. I always gave you the best of care, I somehow thought you would always be there. You had no fears because you knew you were loved, But now you look down at me from above. When you died it was very sad, And for many days I did feel bad. Even though it seems we're so far apart, You'll always be close, forever, in my heart.

©1998 - Meghan Antolik

I do think we've looked at this before. But it still makes me laaaaaaaaugh.

When you died it was very sad, And for many days I did feel bad.

Kills me.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

There probably wasn't a business.

Wait ... wait ... wait ... are you saying all that was a lie? That she never met the mayor of Aurora, Ohio? That she doesn't make $98K/year? That she's not a shining example for young people everywhere?

Where have all the heroes gone?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

To plaigarism jail?

HOW do you spell that word?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

You trying to say Sir Phoenix doesn't drive a Duxus? Because I have photographic evidence!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

And here it is - in case you've been missing it: http://www.geocities.com/aloe23.geo/kitty.html

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Oh, it HAS been missed. Thanks!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Well, people.... I just sent my insane cover letter and resume to that agency. I sounded pretty crazy. I'm sure they'll issue a restraining order.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Now I'm going to be a nervous, freaky wreck all day, wondering if they are shaking their heads in amazement that anyone would have the nerve to be so weird...

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Hey, the worst that can happen is that they're morons and don't hire you, in which case you work somewhere else and make them regret it.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

You are correct, wise Berman...

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

It may interest y'all to know that HYD just got a hit from the Ohio Farm Bureau.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

So that's what Meg is doing!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Heh. Ferret farming, maybe.

Hey, Mike. I have a weird question. Did Will Clark play for the Giants in 1989?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Yes, he did. Why do you ask?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

My friend Chris Yarbrough wrote something for HYD last month, and I'm trying to decipher it.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Let me know if you need assistance. I'm a good sports translator.

This made me laugh. Especially the part about Mr. Fantastic

Herro?

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Hey, hi! I'm here. Trying to update before I go.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

People. The ad agency wrote back. Wants to see samples. Lord, lord. Their response.

"wow. I liked reading your e-mail. I poked a couple eyeballs into your website. Interesting and quirkilicious (don't bother reaching for the Websters-- it ain't there).

Have you ever written any ads? How about any sort of persuasive writings? How about sold something to someone who was interested (or not) in what you were selling?

Are you a propogandist? Come out and play!"

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Allison! That's awesome!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

We'll see, we'll see. Going to have to get Jen Seest to pray for me, because I don't have many ad samples. But I'll rustle some up, to be sure.

Going to grab some lunch, finally, at 2 PM. Will return.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Yay!

You're quirkalicious.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Y'all, I just got an e-mail from a reader that was dated 3-30-2001.

Wha?! That ain't RIGHT, yo!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaags! Where are y'all?!

The MOC got a call-back on one of his resumes from Ga Tech!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Yay! Atlanta's happening!!!!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Yay! Now he'll have to interview, hopefully.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

I know!! HAHAHAH!

Ok, ok... I need to calm down. It's only one phone call. But... it's a start, right? And the ad agency guy, one of the principles, he's been so nice, right? But, I must remain calm.

T, talk about some wedding stuff. When will you get your dress? When will we see a picture of your left hand? Etc, etc.

And where the F is AB Chao? I'm supposed to go over there tonight.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Pictures will come soon.

No new wedding stuff today. I've been slack on that front. My binder is very organized, though. I worked on that last night.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Al - we'll take lots of pictures of her hand in Vegas.

I'm going home now. Why am I hungry? I've been a pig all day.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Well, the binder is a good start.

Y'all, my friend Kristen (Tito) is an attorney in St. Louis and she is handling this sexual harrassment case that is so hilarious, I can't even believe it.

The opposing counsel FORGOT he had an appointment to depose his main witness, wears pimp-daddy suits, and wants Kristen to consider settling the case.

She was like "HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! No WAY!"

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Ooo, I didn't know T was going to Vegas. Hooray!

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

I found a fare that was less than a bazillion dollars. I've never been to Vegas before. Should be interesting.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Well, Hannah's the big expert now, so you should love it. You'll be in good hands. I insist you go to Tong's.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

When are y'all thinking of comeing to Atlanta, again?

I have a good feeling about the ad agency. You should write nice things about sock monkeys on HYD.

-- Anonymous, June 06, 2001

Yes... I should do a whole entry devoted to sock monkeys...

We're thinking about comin the last weekend of this month. If the GaTech guy calls Chris back and wants him to come in, I guess he'll HAVE to go! Ha!

In any case, I will definitely be in Alabama on that Fri - Sun. If Chris comes with me, we'll both come to Atlanta on Wed & Thurs.
