Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me any suggestions on how to keep a weasel out of my chicken coop??

Electric fence. Alternate ground and hot wires, putting them close enough together that anything touching the hot will also touch the ground at the same time. That should zap 'em.

Set traps .My cat will catch them , but many won't .How about a jack russell?

Build or reinforce the chickenhouse with hardware cloth instead of chickenwire, folks make the big mistake of building their chickenhouses out of chickenwire and it is WAY too flimsy!!! Harware cloth will keep out everything, racoons, weasels, coyotes, and even black bear when set over stout enough lumber. Easier to prevent them from getting access at all, than catching or dealing with them later.

brea, Annie Miller is exactly right. Varmits are like bugs. There's not a single one here in Texas. They're all married and have large families. You could shoot them, trap them, poision them etc. and another will come along. You've got to have a pen that keeps them out (especially at night) and chicken wire ain't going to do it. Eagle

Just thought I would let you know how I do it. When I built my pen, I first put chicken wire all around the structure, and then I went back over with 2X4 welded wire. Animals can't pull the chicken wire through the 2x4 welded wire.
