Strawberry freezer jam?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I remember a thread from about a year ago about making freezer jam. I looked in the archives under food preservation and cooking and couldn't find it. Would someone be kind enough to give me a recipe and the steps in making it? My sister in law is here for the week and wants to attempt this together! Many thanks!

The recipe is on the directions which are inside the box of pectin. You can either do it the conventional way or as freezer jam. I have done it both ways. Freezer jam is quicker but you have to obviously keep the jars in your freezer which makes them not as easy to give as gifts. The flavor is the same either way. Good luck and let us know how many jars you put up.

Ditto. I too have used the recipe on the box and had excellent results.

We did it!!! We used your advice and used the recipe in the pectin. It WAS easy:) We ended up with 62 jars of freezer jam. I thought that was pretty good for our first try! Thanks!!!
