How do I create a slideshow playable on standalone dvd

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

My standalone DVD Player does play all vcd's. I did burn one that played ok but the quality was horrible. What I need is a program or step by step instructions on how to burn a slideshow of jpg's and music that can be played on my DVD player.I'm creating a project where i'll be showing this slideshow at the end of the year banquet.Quality is extremely important.

Thanks----Ron

About the only viable way presently of doing what U want, which is a VCD slideshow with music, is with WinOnCD Power Edition 3.8. This application is made by a German company CeQuadrat, now owned by Adaptec of Easy CD fame. WinOnCD has many great features but the only group that can really squeeze it for all that it is worth are German users, because although the interface can be English, the Help is German. Indeed, Adaptec wants us all to know: wretched Easy CD 5 is for English users, and (grudgingly, and before killing it off) WinOnCD is for German users. This info is taken from what I've been told by softwarehouse.de, which is one way of getting WinOnCD online.

WinOnCD is not the only viable way to make photo slide shows with music background (playable on standalone DVD Players).

I have created CD disk containing high quality slide shows (with multiple slide shows on one CD, with menu to select which one to play) with music background.

Information can be found at www.vcdhelp.com
