SPIRITUAL ANALOGY OF THE SEARCH FOR

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Burning Spear : One Thread

Greetings-

May peace and serenity of heart and soul be with all of you today! I am new posting here but hope to share some and learn some anywhere I go.

I thought of a neat analogy last night when thinking about spiritualness and this spiritual triathalon we are racing.

I thought of this like a huge intricately carved sandstone masterpiece buried in the sands of the Sahara. Some choose not to bother even looking for it, others decide seeing a small piece of it is enough, still others think that the samll piece they see IS the whole thing and stop their search to gaze in wonderment and awe at the tiny slice of the picture.

And then there are the true seekers. Who never stop trying to see the whole masterpiece, even though they do not know how big or what the uncovered masterpiece will have in store for them as they see more and more of the picture. Sand will pelt them in the face, wind will try to cover that which they have scraped clean, others will claw at the backs of the seekers in a vain attempt to prohibit or halt their discovery and journey at all costs.

So, I would say to you, how much of the materpiece have you uncovered? Can you accept that you are uncovering something which you can't rationalize, can't mentally overstand until you get there and may not even be able to rationalize it then? Can you accept constant NEW definitions of life, spirit and wisdom as you pass all those who wish to stay behind and gaze at their glimpse and spit on your back as you move beyond? This is no easy task to accept for you leave everything behind but, I would ask, what is spirit worth compared to these manly definitions of such?? How important is it to truly seek the answers which have been hidden in the sands of time throughout the centuries. Hidden there for all of us to find if we but truly decide to do so!

For like I have said in the past, when you end your race and you judge your deeds on this here Earth with your spirit and Jah's mighty presence, you will judge your DEEDS as well as WHAT YOU DID NOT DO. I think people avoid the latter but to I&I, this latter equally important. I believe this path is out there for anyone but how many actually get the resolve, dedication, diligence, strength and love to follow it? Some say Ignorance is bliss and most people hold that statement like waving a flag! I&I say ignorance is hell inflicted on your very own soul!

Love and irie vibrations out to all the soul sisters and borhters out there!

Cherie
