seed saving envelopes

Hi Guys,

I know David and I have been quiet but we are absolutely swamped in the garden!!!! WE have never had such luck with peas, wonderful peas! We had our first farmers market last week and it was a great success (at least to us!). Now the tomatoes are coming.

We need a favour from one of you generous souls. We used to save our tomato seeds in tiny envelopes used by stamp collectors. We have run out. I don't think there are any places to get these within 2+ hours drive from us (we are remote). Can anyone send us some. Of course we will reimburse you and provide you with any heirloom tomato seeds you would like. We have about 20 varieties on the way and should pick our first Paul Robeson today!

Thanks to anyone who can help. Kim

There used to be a stamp and coin shop in the mall by my office. I'll stop by after work and see if it's still there. Approximately what size of envelope are you looking for?

I just checked the phone book and that stamp shop isn't there anymore. Have you thought about ordering them mail-order? Here's a link to a bunch of stamp collecting supply companies.

Have envelopes that I use and have some left. Manila coin envelopes abt 2x4 in size. What do you need? How many? I could prob send you 50.

I'll neeed to order another box anyway. I'll have to look the site up,again and give it to you,if interested.

I also had asked elsewhere quite a while back if you needed bubble mailers for mailing out seeds and plants or other small items.I have a bunch of them too.

Sherri and Sharon,

Thanks for your help. Sharon I'd love some just to get me going, out toms are ripening and I like to save seeds from the early ones. The envelopes I have used in the past are small (about 1"X2") and kind of like waxed paper. Yours sound like they may be better Sharon. Where do you get them from? Do you order a large quantity each time? If so do you want to share an order, or maybe you need a bulk number? Thanks again. Kim
