In honor of this being the last day of school for my children I offer the following quote made by any non-homeschool parent to their children at some time in their life.

"What do you mean I have to drive you to school. When I was your age, I use to walk to school in 5 feet of snow, uphill both ways, at 4:30 in the morning,wearing just tennis shoes"

Tom - I got that saying from my parents but they had baked potatoes in their pockets to keep their hands from freezing - then they could eat the potatoes for dinner! Imagine that! I wonder how they kept their hands warm on the trek home??
