Moulin Rouge

Did you see it? Everyone seems to love it or hate it...I loved it. I thought the music was terrific, and the way they combined pop culture, an operatic storyline and fin-de-siecle French culture was just so cool! What did you think?

I saw it twice also. (Something I haven't done with a movie for years)

I really didn't want to gush about it to anyone, though I did feel that much enthusiasm for it. I really wanted them to break into the 'Love is like Oxygen' tune. (Maybe they did and cut it out)

I also got something for Nicole before I even saw it though.

On the second showing, I heard a older woman behind me say, "I didn't know what to make of it at first...[and went on to say though how she liked it]" which I think might be a common sentiment.

I have a special affinity for a story that wraps up neatly...a story about l-o-v-e. the End

I just saw it last night. I thought it was fantastic. I ran home to email everyone I know to tell them that it was great. The cinematography was absolutely beautiful- the colors! the music! the facial expressions on Ewan MacGregor and John Leguizamo and the casting was perfect... the costumes! the lighting! The man in the moon! The elephant! The songs and the dancing...

er, I really had a good time watching this movie.

Genius that I am, I went to see ol' fake lips Angelina in Tomb Raider instead of any other number of possibilities (one being Moulin Rouge). Over commercialized piece of crap. If it weren't for the peeks at Joline's bare breasts I might not have paid to see it again. (just kiddin' -- even thoughts about a mouthful of areola perfection wasn't enough to dispel the horrible, foul taste this movie left on my tongue.)

I actually want to see 'Tomb Raider', rather than 'Pearl Harbor'.

(not seen either)

But this weekend, Ill probably go see 'A.I.'

I think Angelina's lips are real. But everyone I know has said that "Tomb Raider" sucks--even people who usually like that shit.

The only thing that's out right now that I really want to see is "The Anniversary Party." I probably'll never get around to it, though. I rarely make it to the movies these days.
