OK, I'll dig my picture out of the box. I have a couple other ones too that might work.

You two look very cute sittin there on the porch. I love your dress. Mighty handsome couple, and yes, you both look like you are from Kentucky! You know what they say about people starting to look like each other, you guys been hangin around a loooong time together. Pretty garden. How convenient that the pic of you is sooooo far away.

Jennifer..you're reeeeally scaring me,now.hahahah Keep it to yourself. If you don't,I KNOW where you live.I know what you're doing.I saw you chasing that bear in your underwear. I was WATCHING. LOL,LOL,LOL

Yeah Cindy,I thought we looked pretty darn cute too.Like the Kentucky motorcycle sweatshirt "Nick" is wearing? You think "we" look alike? Hmmm..I never thought that... I did think "Nick" had an awful swelled head in that picture. Guess "he" was full of himself that day.

Sooooo far away? Why,whatever do you mean? heeheeheee

And,yes, that REALLY is my graduation picture.

I have one of Nick & Rowdy to put on. Also my dogs.And,maybe... one of me...maybe,just maybe. We'll see.....

Hey Aunty E.M., what about you? Where are your pictures. What, too paranoid? Hohohohoho

You first!

Ah yes, well,I just couldn't help myself.Hard to restrain this mouth of mine.Sorry gal.Forgive me.You understand.I know you do.

I'm Amish; Its against my religion to take my picture.

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2001

I would have never guessed! Well,it sure goes to show that you can't tell what someone is really like from internet exchanges. This IS an interesting new developement.

Good comeback.Better excuse than mine.I'll put it in the 'remember to use this down the road' file. Thanks for the tip.

You know, must be a new order of Amish. I've never seen the ones around here driving old Volkswagon vans with beads hanging on the visor. Wow. Times sure are a chaaagin'.

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2001

Some of my friends call me the Amish Pagan because of my interest in homesteading. :-)

-- Anonymous, June 22, 2001

Alright there Cindy Bobby Dylan McC,sing it loud. Misfit Amish Order! Bet we all could join up! Where do we have to live, tho? I cannot take the north.Allergic to d*mn yankees. I break out in hives when I cross the Ohio.Do you?

Yep,too use to my hillbilly ways, now. Oh well,it was a plan...

Well, maybe, if us girls don't have to wear the bonnets. I just can't stand to have a hat on anymore, it bugs me, besides, it messes up my hair. I really don't think I could stand to have that string tied under my chin all day. But, in other aspects, I think I do qualify. Since the cow, I have never worked soooooo hard for a meal in my life!

Out here, we're mostly Beamish...

Oh btw, my high school grad picture (I'll describe it for you) shows me in a yellow cap and gown (with my hair to my waist.) My college picture shows me in a blue cap and gown (with my hair to my waist.) I didn't get a picture of me graduating from the local community college last year, but if I did, it would have me in a ___?____cap and gown, and my hair is only to the middle of my back. Oh yeah, the last one would have me in spectacles, the middle one in contacts, and the first one blissfully eye-appliance free!

Anyway, it's funny to me that my hair length is somehow associated with my academic experiences. In between those times ( takes me a while to complete a course!) my hair has been spiked, shaved, very blonde, dark brown, and of course mousey dishwater blonde. Oh and streaked in one front spot in grey, currently.

See, no need for a photo. ;-)

Oh gosh, the 70's was just a psycadelic haze, I can't remember where my graduation picture is to scan it here, gosh, I can't remmeber my whole senior year at all, all those weird substances around back then, all the smoke..... all the "free love", you know, "make love, not war"??? Sudden flashback to 1977.........wee.........

OK Sharon Gourdhead, my HS Senior photo has been submitted to Jim. How about starting a catagory for totally nerdy clothes we wore when we were young? I found some very good entries when I was looking for the picture! Remember flower power? Well, I must have invented it!

Cindy

I HAVE a pair of jeans I wore then. When I was back home helping clean for my parents,I found them! Mom had saved old clothes,bc she made rag rugs, and she had these old bell bottom jeans from when I was prob 19. I had sewn colorful patches all over them (as they got new holes) like a quilt.Talk abt.recycling.

That was the thing then.Pretty neat actually.

Found some of my Daisy May shorts(that's not what we called them) but no halter tops.Mom must have pitched them as too scandalous! hahahaha

She had major problems with how skimpily I dressed at that time. But knew well enough to let it ride. What was I thinking, wearing miniskirts in winter?

An old friend who is my age actually still wears miniskirts. She has the figure for it but still I think she is out of her mind.Remember how hard it was to bend over?

Now,the guys really liked them,right?

'Course, when I look at the size of then pants vs now pants,well....

You don't have that problem...

I remember when I was in High School, us girls went to one of those "custom bikini" parties. You got to order the top and bottom separately, pick out the colors, styles and everything. I remember it was very expensive. Well, the package came while I was at school. By the time I got home, my moma had cut it up with the scissors! She said if I wanted to wear a postage stamp, she could get me one a lot cheaper!!

-- Anonymous, June 24, 2001

Yeah,Cindy, much cheaper,esp.then. Wear them like pasties! Oh my.

Was your mother and my mother related? Boy,yours sure made her point.Mine threw her hands up in despair. If she made me wear something,I'd just change when I got out of sight. Poor Moms.

Took a peak at your pictures. You old hippie you, you've been holding out on us! You look young in you grad pic too.Or is it that we are so old now everyone looks young?

Nice pics.I really enjoyed them! Come on everyone. This is a fun!Put up one of you in your finest duds.

I lost all my pics in a house fire in 81,so I don't think I have any here of my 70's ensembles.Just my birthday suit one,and you best believe that one isn't getting posted!

Oh..that reminds me ...I got a great one of Nick..where is that...

Hey you look young too! We have the same hair, did everyone have straight hair parted in the middle?? It must be the hippy influence. We had joy we had fun, we had seasons in the sun!

I'm trying to get Steve's pics from him. Of course Steve graduated in the next decade, so he wasn't a flower child. I don't know what he was, I didn't know him then. Probably a redneck.

I know this question is getting old, but where can I see these pictures again?

-- Anonymous, June 24, 2001

Hi Sheepish, go to the thread 'Party Animals' or 'Jim can I ask you a Favor', and there are links in there. We want to see your hippy pictures!
