Aeon today - traditional or digital?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

I work in the animation field (compositing/digital painting, unfortunately drawing is not one of my stronger points), and I was wondering if Aeon Flux were produced today, would Peter prefer to do it traditionally (as I'm assuming most of the series was done) or digitally?

While I think computers have made it a lot easier and cheaper to produce a show, I am still in awe at the amazing quality of the production cels used in Aeon. In fact, until I recently saw some original production cels, I always assumed Aeon was painted digitally.

I know many animators swear by traditional methods regardless of the cost/time involved compared to digital production, and I was just curious as to everyone's opinion on the subject.

PS: Peter if you need a digital painter/compositor/musician for your next project, I'm there!
