Gardening categories (which one are you)

Here is something cute I found,I seem to fit somewhere in between 1 & 2. although I never could get the top off a jar of white school paste until high school.LOL!!!

When it comes to gardening most people fit into one of three distinct categories:

1. Those who learned about gardening while still in the womb.

2. Those who can, on a good day, usually tell a weed from a nonweed.

3. Those who had to use safety scissors well into 8th grade.

Tom - Very cute. I showed sheep, maintained my flock and gardened until I was 8 months preg, then Doc threw me in bed for a month. What does that make my daughter. Then, she was in the lambing barn at two months of age.

I have to honestly say that I have no memories of NOT gardening, now as far as the scissors.........I think I might still qualify for the safety scissors.

WHATS SCISSORS?????????? bob se.ks.

bobco, that suffix you add to your name at the end of every post of yours always throws me for a loop. I always without fail, naturally "sound it out" first, and then realise you mean south-east Kansas.

Two. :-)

Thanks goodness watering and planting aren't as complicated as the amazing variety of weeds which manage to tuck themselves into my beds!

Lol I'm more 2,3 as I can only remember 2 times my parents putting in a garden. Dad said he wasn't poor and didn't want to have garden. I think he was crazy so I am growing my garden this year in 5 gal. buckets and loving it.

I'm a long time vegetable gardener, but have very little knowledge regarding flowers. As a member of our local Garden Club, we're responsible during the summer for tending to many of the public flower gardens around town. My Garden Club won't allow me to weed, water and dead-head by myself as I sometimes mistake flowers for weeds and pull them out. LOL

Wishing you enough.

I dunno, can one be a 2.5 -- halfway between 2 & 3? I think that's where I am. I'm usually near 2, but sometimes slide over near to 3 . . .

Well, I am the one who, when I first started gardening(28 years ago) that pulled up all the corn and waited for the Johnson Grass to grow!!! It sorta looks lik corn!!!
