Where should I find the Papal Blessing for my Wedding

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Do you know if it is possible, for my next wedding, to obtain a Papal Blessing parchment paper from the Vatican through internet? Someone told me I could, I just don't know where to search for this.

Thanks a lot

Hello David, I've obtained a great Papal Blessing parchment paper from

www.vaticangift.com

you have to send an e-mail to Sonya at info@vaticangift.com and she will contact the Vatican for you.

They sent me also a wood Rosary blessed by the Pope during the General Audiction as a gift, and more they make also charity and beneficence with the money i sent.

I don't suggest Vatican-Souvinirs.com

In as much as they seem to have the nicest parchment and most complete information, their service is extremely horrible!

I ordered a parchment for a friend's baptism/confirmation/first communion and they e-mailed me after almost one week informing me that they can't process my order because the special occassion I was ordering the parchment for was NOT a religious occassion. I replied with a clarification, but days have past and no reply.

They also have no phone number to call them with.

What exactly is a Papal Blessing parchment paper. I am engaged to be married next year. And was interested in what you were saying, but I have no idea what this is. Thanks.

You have to get permission from the catholic church to get married and the Papal Blessing is this as fare as i Know.

Papal Blessings are available to all Catholics for weddings and the reception of other sacraments. Simply contact the Bishop's office in your diocese and tell them you would like to fill out the appropriate paperwork. A word of caution though -- these take up to 6 months to receive.

The souvenier sites that claim they are from vatican may or may not be sending you the official blessing. You are guaranteed the real thing when you work through your Bishop. Good luck!
