Yukon Earthquake

An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 struck the Yukon Territory this morning. According to the Geological Survey of Canada, the epicentre was about 140 kilometres north of Haines Junction, in the southwest corner of the territory. The quake struck at 7:05 a.m. Pacific time. No damage has been reported. The last earthquake to hit the region was last August, when a 4.7 magnitude tremor was registered.
