Are there any pre-Vatican II female Catholic hermitages/convents in North America? And/or abroad?

Mitzy, In Shohola, Pennsylvania, north of Scranton, there is a traditional order of nun, the Oblates of Mary, which is connected with the Society of St. John, a new order of priests that says the traditional Mass. I asked my husband to dig out the address, so I'll post back when I get that.

Hello, ladies.

I found this on the Internet:
"The Priestly Fraternity of St Peter, a society of pontifical right, [was] established in 1988 with the encouragement of Pope John Paul II who approved its Constitutions with a view to its particular mission of ministering to all Catholics who desire free access to the Sacraments according to the previous discipline of the Roman Rite. The priests of the Fraternity work in a diocese at the invitation of the local bishop. Its international headquarters and seminary are at Wigratzbad, Germany and it has many centres in France, Switzerland, Austria, Canada and the United States. The Fraternity runs schools which provide a sound traditional catechesis and has established an order of nuns in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the Oblates of Mary, Queen of the Apostles, who follow the old regime of discipline including the use of traditional habits."

And here is a link to the page of the Oblates, whose prioress is Sister Therese. Their address is:
Oblates for Mary, Queen of Apostles
St. Gregory's Priory
819 North Webster Avenue
Scranton, PA 18510-1307

Mitzy, can you please explain what you mean by "pre-Vatican II" hermitages and convents? Do you mean that you wish to be a member of a schismatic group -- one that is not in communion with Pope John Paul II, one that rejects the documents of Vatican II, etc..

St. James, pray for us. Queen of Apostles, pray for us. God bless you.
John

Mitzy:

Contact Sister Irene Gibson at Mount Tabor Hermitage in Ireland. Tell her I sent you. I know her personally, and I'm sure she'd be thrilled to hear from you.
